Тихо и нежно издалека,
Западный ветер, повей —
И возврати издалека
Милого к нам поскорей!
Не разбудив урагана в пути,
Над озаренной пучиной лети
Лунного света быстрей!
Видишь — в спаленке спит мой маленький, спит.
Тихо и нежно спи-засыпай,
Глазки покрепче закрой —
Спи безмятежно, баюшки-бай:
Матушка рядом с тобой.
Дремлет луна в золотых небесах,
Папин кораблик на всех парусах
Мчится к сыночку домой.
Спи, мой маленький, в тихой спаленке, спи.

О hark, О hear! how thin and clear,
And thinner, clearer, farther going!
О sweet and far from cliff and scar
The horns of Elfland faintly blowing!
Blow, let us hear the purple glens replying:

О love, they die in yon rich sky,
They faint on hill or field or river:
Our echoes roll from soul to soul,
